Many congratulations to Lynne with Boris (Ch Madincrowd Gabriel JW) and Katy (Madincrowd Mercy Chant) for their brilliant results at the Welsh Kennel Club on 17 August 2019! Boris won the Dog Challenge Certificate and went on to become Best of Breed, whilst Katy won the Bitch Reserve Challenge Certificate.
We are so happy to announce that Mouse, Foxthyme Maori, is Our Dogs‘ Lancashire Heeler Top Stud 2018. He is a very handsome chap with a jaunty step and together with our Pickle, Ch Rosepip Neteret Eset, has given us three amazing litters. 2018 was a stunning year for Madincrowd and Mouse’s Madincrowd offspring helped earn him his title: Dora, Madincrowd Bathsheba JW, winning her first Challenge Certificate at Crufts, and then a second at Paignton Champ Show; Katy, Madincrowd Mercy Chant, winning her first Challenge Certificate as a puppy at the Welsh Kennel Club Champ Show, and taking Reserve […]
For the past year we have been looking after a fourth Heeler though unfortunately we shall have to say farewell to her this week; Dora’s Crufts Trophy for Lancashire Heeler Best Bitch will be returning to Crufts to be passed on to the next winner of the title. Dora, Madincrowd Bathsheba JW, won the beautiful wooden trophy which was presented last year by Foxthyme in memory of Jackie Cartledge, who we all sadly miss, especially around the show ring which is an emptier place without her. So we wish everyone attending the best of luck and enjoy your day […]
We are thrilled to announce that Katy, aka Madincrowd Mercy Chant, is Our Dogs’ newspaper Lancashire Heeler Top Puppy 2018! Lynn has done an amazing job of showing her and she is a stunning looking puppy (along with her siblings!). She also follows in her big sister Dora‘s footsteps who was Lancashire Heeler Clup Top Puppy 2014!
On Thursday 8 March 2018 we got up at 3am to drive up the NEC, Birmingham for Crufts. We took all three dogs as we were on the Discover Dogs stand all day but had entered Dora, Madincrowd Bathsheba JW, into the Open Bitch Class which it turned out had the largest entry of 14 Heelers on the day. With strong competition, we made the cut and then Dora was placed first – an amazing feeling. Next into the line up with the other winners from the bitch classes and we got the top prize – Best Bitch and her […]
Pickle becomes a Champion Pickle or Rosepip Neteret Eset, entered as a Veteran, and won the Bitch Champion Certificate at South Wales Kennel Association Champ Show on 8 October 2017 under judge Maggy Jones. It was her third Champion Certificate, the other two she won under judge Roy Baker at Richmond in 2011 and Sue Pollock-Yule at Darlington in 2012. This now makes her a Champion and goes to show you never know whats round the corner, just believe in your dog and have fun! She was beaten to Best of Breed by her son Boris, Ch Madincrowd Gabriel JW, […]
On an extremely hot, sunny day we went to the Border Union Championship Dog Show at Kelso where we showed the dogs under judge Keith Baldwin. We were thrilled to bits when Bilbo (Ch Rosepip Beau Brummell ShCM) won the Dog Challenge Certificate from the Veteran Dog class, Dora (Madincrowd Bathsheba JW) got the Reserve Bitch Challenge Certificate from Limit Bitch and Pickle (Rosepip Neteret Eset) was 2nd in Open Bitch. The judge was very informative and when chatting to me about Dora afterwards and asking about her breeding, we realised he had given brother Boris (Ch Madincrowd Gabriel JW) his […]
Dora, Madincrowd Bathsheba JW, was Best of Breed at the Bournemouth Champ Show in August 2016, under judge Celia Vines. There was a good turn out and a party atmosphere round the ring – with some of us coming back to Pear Tree Cottage for a cream tea!
We are so proud to announce that Boris, Madincrowd Gabriel JW (aka Flash Harry in his younger days!) became the first Madincrowd Champion – subject to Kennel Club confirmation. Boris won his first Challenge Certificate under Keith Baldwin at South Wales Kennel Club Champ Show in 2015, then his second and third in quick succession in 2016 under Albert Wight at Welsh Kennel Club and David Cavill at Richmond – Boris was Best of Breed in all three wins as well. Our thanks to all the judges who thought so highly of him and especially to Lynn for showing him […]
After reading a letter in one of the Dog papers it sparked an interest in trying to get a stand to promote our breed at the Living Heritage Country Fairs. We were offered a stand at the Bowood Dog Show in Wiltshire so we sorted out some banners and our friend Jean sewed an amazing Heeler bunting to decorate the marquee with. We had a very enjoyable and busy weekend chatting about Heelers to everyone and also taking part in the Native Breeds Parade in the main ring. We hope to do more of these and it is lovely to […]
